In English, we will be delving into our class text, 'The Explorer' by Katherine Rundell as a stimulus for some creative writing as well as producing non fiction texts linked to the rainforest and newspaper reports. The children will be expected to continue progressing their joined handwriting and we will be focusing on editing and improving our writing.

- Structure of the rainforest
- The Amazon River
- Biomes and climate zones
- Cause and consequence (deforestation)
Art and DT
Impressionism art - paintings made up from small dots
Plan, design and evaluate a puppet
RE, PE, PHSE, Music, MFL
RE: Could Jesus really heal people? Were these miracles or is there some other explanation?
PE: Cognitive skills
PSHE: Feelings and emotions
Music: 3 little birds
MFL: Colours, names of fruit
Things to remember:
- PE days are back to Tuesday and Friday
- Homework due Monday and sent home Wednesday
- Spellings tested every Wednesday
