English
In English we will be reading lots of different fairy tales and traditional tales. We will be looking at the themes and conventions, describing characters and settings as well as making simple predictions using 'because'. This term we will be writing sentences which are accurately punctuated with capital letters and full stops, we will be trying our best to write on the line and use the conjunctions 'and' and 'because to link our ideas.

Counting to and across 100 forwards and backwards. Count, read and write numerals to 100.
Represent and use number bonds and related subtraction facts to 10/20. Relate to money i.e. 14p+6p=
Read and write numbers from 1-20 in numerals and words.
Measurement- length and height. Relate to number bond to 20 i.e. 13cm +___=20cm.

Science-Seasonal Changes
Weather observations in our local area. Consider the colours associated with autumn-what does autumn look like to us? Identify suitable clothes for this time of year. Can we compare two seasons i.e. winter and autumn?
Naming months of the year in order. Investigate autumn- what we can see, hear smell etc
Comparing how many leaves have fallen in a specific area over a period of a few weeks-plotting onto graphs.
