Welcome back Year 2! We are sure you have all had a fun and hopefully restful holiday and we have no doubt you are all ready and raring for the busy half term ahead!
Now we are Great Fire of London experts, we will be moving onto our new history topic learning about Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole. I wonder if you can complete some research at home and learn some facts about who these two women are and why they are famous historical figures.
English sessions will see us being incredibly creative as we complete writing based on the Roald Dahl book, The Twits. We are working really hard to think about the presentation of our handwriting and ensuring that we are editing our writing to improve it.
Fractions, multi-step problems and money will be our main foci during maths sessions. Can you find 1/4, 1/2, 1/3 and 3/4 of a number? Can you make £1.45 in five different ways?
PE days will continue to be on Tuesday and Wednesday and home learning will be given out every Wednesday and needs to be returned the following Wednesday via our class email y2@coit.sheffield.sch.uk.
